India's leading ride-sharing company Ola on Tuesday signed an MoU with ICICI Bank to offer a range of integrated services to their customers and driver partners.
Through this alliance, ICICI Bank customers can book Ola and pay the fare by using the bank's mobile banking applications, 'iMobile' and 'Pockets'.
According to Ola official, the facility will also help Ola customers to get small ticket digital credit instantaneously from ICICI Bank.
"ICICI Bank will offer a 'Pay Direct' card for Ola's driver partners. With this, Ola's auto and cab driver partners will be able to get their daily earnings directly into their 'Pay Direct' card accounts. Additionally, driverpartners can n also swipe this card at merchant outlets for their purchases,"states the official.
Commenting on the development, Ola Co-Founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said mobility and banking, both play a key role in fostering inclusive growth and creating lasting development benefits.
ICICI Bank Executive Director Anup Bagchi said the bank has always pioneered in bringing in digital innovations and provide world-class banking experience to its customers.
