11 kg ganja seized at Banaswadi railway station

The city police have arrested a construction worker at Banaswadi railway station and seized 11 kg of ganja from him. The arrested has been identified as P S Anish (32) from Kerala.

The police had formed a special team after receiving comp­laints about transportation of banned substances by trains. The team found Anish and his friend waiting suspiciously at the platform with two bags, to board a train to Calicut. They caught Anish, but his friend escaped. Police are searching for the other suspect.
