Actor 'Duniya' Vijay's wives in catfight

There is no end to Kannada actor 'Duniya' Vijay's troubles.

His first wife, Nagarathna, and daughter Monica created quite a scene as police arrived at their house in southern Bengaluru's Kathriguppe on Sunday morning. Policemen wanted to question Nagarathna as she is accused of assaulting the actor's second wife, Keerthi Gowda, at his house in RR Nagar, West Bengaluru, when he was in prison on September 24. A video of Nagarathna barging into the house and hitting Keerthi with slippers has gone viral. Keerthi later filed a complaint at the jurisdictional Girinagar police station. She claimed the mother and the daughter had plotted the assault.

Police reviewed the CCTV footage of Vijay's house and went to Nagarathna's residence to question her. Monica, the actor's daughter from the first marriage who lives with her mother, refused to open the door and did not answer questions asked by the police. In the meanwhile, Nagarathna escaped from the house.

Speaking to reporters, Vijay accused Nagarathna of "tarnishing" his image and filing a "false" complaint against him and his family. He was referring to a complaint of assault filed by his daughter, Monica.
