Eshwarappa’s PA says threat from BSY

Bengaluru: Vinay N S, the personal assistant to BJP leader K S Eshwarappa has sought police protection on the ground that he was facing threat to his life since “he was in possession of information which could ruin political career of state BJP president B S Yeddyurappa.”

In his complaint to Amruthalli police on Friday, Vinay has stated that he was in possession of dairy, pen-drive and CD containing conversations which would destroy the political career of Yeddyurappa. He has stated that in 2017, on the direction of N R Santosh, personal assistant to Yeddyurappa, some rowdies had tried to kidnap and kill him, but he managed to escape.

“Since I am in possession of documents, I am facing threat to my life from Yeddyurappa, his PA Santosh and his supporters. I have noticed some unknown persons lurking near my house and some people following my vehicles,” he stated in the complaint.

The police, who have registered a non-cognisable report (NCR), said they were not the authority to provide security and hence they have asked Vinay to approach city police commissioner.
