Enjoy music, food at Ganesha Utsava

The 53rd edition of Bengaluru Ganesha Utsava at APS College Grounds in Basavanagudi is going to be a bigger and better festival this year.

The 11-day festival-an amalgamation of  music, food, art and culture will be starting from September 17 and will see an interesting line up of top musicians and unique fusion concerts including the one wherein singers P Susheela, Vani Jairam and  Vijay Prakash will be on the same stage for the first time.

Besides, paying a tribute to legendary Ilayaraja, will be a concert featuring Rajesh Krishnan, M D Pallavi, Ajay Warriar and Supriya Raghunandan.

For Bollywood lovers, there is the much popular Shreya Ghoshal show and the Kunal Ganjawala Musical night, both of who promises to make it a memorable event and Bengaluru’s own stars - Mayuri Upadhya presenting Nrityarutya’s Katha Parva, Raghu Dixit with his Indian folk rock musical night, Magical Composer Arjun Janya with his Kannada Film Musical night and the most versatile singer from the south, Karthik who will be singing Kannada, Tamil and Hindi film songs.

Nandish S M, Managing Trustee, Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava said, “ Keeping our promise of curating culture, we bring for our discerning audience the 53rd edition of The Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava, spanning five decades, which is a major cultural festival of Bengaluru.

This season, the fest, curated by Shree Vidyaranya Yuvaka Sangha, will be recreating a unique temple for the God, which is inspired by the architecture of Kollur Mookambika and Dharmastala Manjunatha temples.

Every day, during more than 10,000 diyas will be lit in and around this temple.
