IIM-B alumni meets in May across 15 cities

As many as 8,000 alumni of Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-B) will be part of the annual alumni meet to be held across 15 cities on various dates in May. As part of the event, three expert panel discussions on ‘Entrepreneurship and Disruptive Thinking’ will be held in Bangalore on May 4.

These will include talks on topics such as start-ups, entrepreneurs as well as social change. The meet of other chapters will be held in Chennai on May 3 and USA (East Coast Chapter) on May 17. 

IIM-B Alumni Association (IIMAA), Bangalore Chapter President Harish Mittal said: “Bangalore is the new haven for entrepreneurs and we have seen tremendous energy among IIM-B alumni in City to learn from each other’s entrepreneurial experience.” The event that started in 2002 was earlier one-day affair during the month of May. 

However, over the years the connect of alumni IIM-B has grown from five alumni chapters to 15, leading to the meet being held for a number of days.

Alumni and Development Head Rakesh Godhwani said: “Anusmaran is a perfect example of how we can leverage the gold mine of knowledge that alumni of IIM-B have. Learning from each other is undoubtedly our way forward.”
