<p class="title">City police arrested five persons who beat up a 28-year-old food delivery staff for bringing the order half an hour late in Domlur Layout, Halasuru, on May 4.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Tilak Kumar was beaten up. He fractured his fingers and fainted on the road after the assault, the police said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">According to the police, Kumar was found unconscious on the roadside. He was taken to a hospital by a few passersby.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Later, Kumar himself filed a complaint at the Halasuru police station based on which the police arrested the accused, Krishna, Appu and three others on Monday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">In his complaint to the police, Kumar said the accused had ordered food online around 6.45 pm. Kumar, after confirming the order, went near Agarwal Hospital as mentioned in the address.</p>.<p class="bodytext">When he reached the place, Krishna and others abused him in filthy language for the delay and started beating him when he objected to their behaviour.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The group of five then delivered punches, kicking and even breaking Kumar’s fingers, before snatching the food packets and shoving him away.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Police said the group did not want to pay up for the food as it arrived late and were reasoning with Kumar which escalated into fisticuffs.</p>
