A heavy truck loaded with wooden logs toppled at Makali near Nelamangala on the Bengaluru-Tumakuru National Highway-48 in the early hours of Monday.
With wooden logs scattered all over the road, vehicles were diverted to the service road, resulting in an 8-km-long traffic jam.
A combination of office-goers, outstation buses ferrying passengers back to the city from a long weekend and the rain compounded problems. The traffic later eased out.
Jam, no better!
