Drivers who have tied up with Ola and Uber cab aggregators will meet the representatives of two companies on Saturday and demand an end to shared rides and removal of peak hour charges.

Tanveer Pasha, leader of a union of car owners and drivers working with aggregators, said they will submit a representation seeking solutions for long standing issues.

He said though the Transport Department issues revised fares in March, the same was yet to be implemented. This has led to a situation where drivers' earnings continies to be low while the companies make profit by imposing surcharges, he said.

The drivers union has also urged the companies to cancel the shared ride services, which saves one third of the fare for commuters, citing that it was not safe for women.
