Official wrote to govt on disengaging child lock

The transport commissioner has written to the state government on a public interest litigation, seeking directions to disengage child lock system in cabs, the government council told the High Court of Karnataka.

A submission was made before a division bench headed by Chief Justice Dinesh Maheshwari that heard the PIL filed by the Bangalore Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, asking for the child lock system to be dismantled in cabs in the wake of crimes against women using the app-based cab services.
