Dedung Daimary alias Khangur (about 25 years) and his wife Nisha Daimary, also of the same age, were taken into custody for allegedly making calls from here to the official and demanding money from him, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Division) Sonia Narang told PTI.
The duo also gave some bank account numbers to the official to deposit the money.
Dedung is the nephew of NDFB chief Ranjan Daimary, Sonia said.
