Yeddyurappa to consult party leadership on second trust vote

"Now, I understand the Governor has asked me to prove majority once again on October 14 on the floor of the Assembly. I will now seek the advise of my party leaders and get legal opinion on this matter and act accordingly," Yeddyurappa told reporters here.
He, however, said he was "pained" to know that the Governor had in his report to the Centre recommended imposition of President's rule in the state.

Yeddyurappa said he had already proved the majority in the state Assembly yesterday despite provocation from the Opposition JD(S) and Congress members.

The Yeddyurappa government had "won" a controversial trust vote in the Assembly yesterday through voice vote, after Speaker K G Bopaiah had earlier in the day disqualified 11 BJP and five Independent MLAs from the membership of the House citing anti-defection law.

Following the incidents in the Assembly, Bhardwaj sent a report to the Centre seeking imposition of President's rule in the state.
