Murder case solved

City police have solved the recent murder of a security guard at a cellphone tower Export Promotion Industrial Park, Whitefield by arresting three men.

Abdullah, 60 was found dead in the tower’s security cabin on Saturday afternoon, his throat slit and body partially burnt.

Police claimed that a special team had cracked the case within 24 hours of the crime being reported. The three arrested men have been identified as Akbar, 37, of Nellurahalli, Whitefield, Mahesh alias Kencha, 22, and Lakshman alias Lakshminarayana, 35, of Chamarajanagar.

Investigations revealed that Akbar, a homeless person, was acquainted with Abdullah. When Akbar discovered that Abdullah had received his monthly stipend of Rs 6,200, he hatched a plan with Mahesh and Lakshman to kill Abdullah and take the money.
