JOIN USThe victim said in her complaint to the South District Police that Gujarat resident Bhavesh Mota, whom she met in Bangalore, had uploaded her video clips and defamatory e-mails on Facebook and YouTube.
"The defamatory e-mails have been circulated about the girl by Bhavesh Mota, the boy she met in Bangalore. A formal complaint has been lodged with the police," said Auda Veigas, president of a woman's group Bailancho Ekvott, which is helping the victim.
A copy of the youtube.com video and the defamatory e-mails have also been handed over to District Superintendent of Police Allen D'Sa.
A police spokesperson said summons would be issued to Mota to report before the Goa Police soon.
"Proper process will be followed. We will issue summons to the boy, asking him to report to the police station. The victim's statement has already been recorded," the spokesperson said.
