Speaking at a media conference in the city on Tuesday, Chikkamaadu said that Siddaramaiah will never become CM if he remains with the Congress as MP H Vishwanath will always oppose Siddaramaiah’s candidature.

However, he observed that had the BJP government collapsed in the State, then Siddaramaiah had the chances of becoming the CM as JD(S) would have supported him. But due to the deceiving schemes of senior Congress leader, B K Hariprasad and Vishwanath, it was  not possible, he added.

He said that persons on whom Siddaramaiah had trusted and joined Congress party are now back-stabbing him.

Slamming Vishwanath for his comments on former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, Chikkamaadu asked Vishwanath to look back at his background.

He said that Deve Gowda never joined hands with the BJP and had even opposed the formation of JD(S) and BJP coalition government in the State.

Chikkamaadu said that the recent political developments have hurt the people. Lashing out at the BJP, he blamed them for taking politics to such a low-level.  He said that the only aim of BJP is to cling on to power.

Speaking on the occasion, K R Nagar MLA Sa Ra Mahesh said that he would not leave JD(S).  Furthermore, he said that Kumaraswamy was not responsible for the present political imbroglio in the State.

JD(S) City President Rajanna said that a protest ‘BJP Hatao, Karnataka Bachao’ will be staged on October 28 under the leadership of former MLA Vedanta Hemmige and District Freedom Fighters Association.

K R constituency JD(S) President S Prakash, Secretary R D Vishwanath and Mohammed Sharief were present.
