According to sources, the Chief Minister’s office is planning to include additional 10 to 15 names, including cine actor Ravichandran and sportspersons from the State who won silver and bronze medals at the recent Commonwealth Games.
The Kannada and Culture department has forwarded the list to the Chief Minister’s office. The Government may announce additional names on Monday. The department has already announced 162 names of awardees in the first list. The award presentation ceremony is scheduled to be held on Monday evening at Ravindra Kalakshetra.
Sources said names of two hockey players, who have won sliver in the CWG, and five other sportspersons who have won bronze medals, may be included in the second list. The department has proposed to include their names also in the list.
Kannada and Culture Minister Govind Karjole had declared that the Government will not add any more names to the list announced on Saturday.
