Leopard gives birth to rare black cub

Black unspotted offsprings among leopards are said to be rare in captive breeding. The cubs born on October 21 and the new mother are in good health.

Apart from the three newborns which are yet to be named Tyavarekoppa has seven more leopards named Rama, Bharath, Karna, Srujan, Sharada, Amitha and Kruthika.

Deputy Conservator of Forest Ravi Kumar told Deccan Herald that Amitha was born in Tyavarekoppa itself and is the most active and lively among the big wild cats here.
