Circle Inspector S Shivakumar recently addressed the vigilance squad members and the residents of ward 21 and called upon them to ascertain maintenance of peace in the area.
He explained that the Department had taken the step in order to help solve the problems of the people effectively.

“We have also ensured that revised vigilance facility is provided to the ward to maintain law and order. The people are requested to cooperate with the Police Department and help the measure become a success,” Shivakumar added.

He later listened to people who had complaints to make. The people said despite sending several memoranda to the CMC regarding problems related to water, electricity and other basic amenities, the officers did not help them in any way.

“Whenever there are rains, the drain water enters our houses. This has only increased our problems,” they told the Circle Inspector.

City Police Station Sub-inspector Shivaprasad, City Municipal Council member Venkatalakshmamma, Sub-inspector Shantappa, Assistant Executive Engineer Nagesh, Vigilance Constable Gangaraju and others participated in the programme.
