The girl with burn marks all over her body and face hails from Jharkhand. Her employer Sourabh Das had brought her a year ago. Her condition was brought to the notice of KCPCR by her neighbours. After rescuing the girl, the KCPCR chairperson Nina Nayak sent the girl to the Children’s Home and directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police, North Division to lodge an FIR against the employer.

Nina Nayak told Deccan Herald that the girl’s employer lived in Aryan Apartment in Hebbal. She said that having noticed the atrocities committed on the girl everyday the neighbours could not tolerate and complained. “They complained to me that her (girl’s) employer beat her everyday and also kept her hungry. He also forced her to work from as early as 4 am,” said Nayak.

A few days back, the girl had reportedly fled from the house and a missing complaint was lodged with the Hebbal Police by her employer mentioning her age as 19. The police traced the girl and sent her to Sumangali Sevashram.

The girl then returned to her employer following which the neighbours approached the KCPCR, which took the girl in their custody and produced before the media.

They showed the scars on her body and burn marks her face. The KCPCR have found out that the girl was below 15 years of age and was sent to Children’s Home.
