Mumbai flight cancelled due to windscreen crack, passengers safe

"All the 122 passengers and six crew members are safe as the fault was detected in the flight before announcement of departure," Station Manager of Biju Patnaik Airport Abhijit Sengupta told PTI.

The flight IC-169 operating between Mumbai and Raipur had landed at the city airport to take passengers from here.The crack on the windscreen in the cockpit area was detected during routine inspection before take off, Sengupta said.The flight was allowed to proceed to Mumbai for repair of the windscreen after offloading passengers.
