<p>The court issued the directive during the hearing of a batch of PILs on 'lack' of adequate staff and infrastructure in government hospitals.<br /><br />A division bench comprising Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justice A S Bopanna, dissastisfied by the replies given by the Director of Medical Education and Deputy Secretary Health, also directed the government to submit a report on the facilities being provided in the governemnt hospitals.<br /><br />On one of the PILs, seeking establishment of a trauma centre in Karwar in Uttar Kannada district, the court directed the government to set up such centres not only in Karwar but in all the districts in the state.<br /><br />The bench then adjourned further hearing of the matter to December 8.</p>
