All the 20 men and four women were produced before the 8th ACMM court on Wednesday.
It has been confirmed they were indeed JD(S) party workers. One of the arrested, identified as Narayan, is president of JD(S) Laggere unit in Rajarajeshwarinagar Assembly constituency.
Situation at Puttaswamy’s residence remained peaceful on Wednesday. However, police have provided security, Seshadripuram sub-division (ACP) Omkaraiah said.
The JD(S) workers staged a protest over his allegations of land-grabbing against former prime minister H D Deve Gowda and his family members.
