President to attend Manipal varsity convocation

Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, Manipal University Registrar Dr G K Prabhu informed that the President will arrive at Bajpe airport at around 4 pm and attend the convocation ceremony at 7 pm in KMC Greens. She will award as many as 28 PhD holders and about 13 gold medalists on the occasion.

There are as many as 1,600 under graduate and post graduate students who would receive their degrees on the occasion, he added. 

Next day she will make campus tour and straight away drove towards TAPMI to inaugurate TAPMI new campus. The President will unveil the plaque, plant the sapling followed by photo session. She will visit river house on 9th morning for the breakfast and anatomy museum on her way to TAPMI. Her stay has been arranged at Hotel Fortune Inn Valley View. She will depart at around 11 am from Manipal to Mangalore to attend ‘Konkani Manyata Diwas’ celebration.
