Addressing newspersons after presenting degree certificates to graduates of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College here, the leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, said the governor’s constant finger-pointing at the BJP government in Karnataka was politically motivated. He should stop doing this and function as a Constitutional head, he said.
He refused to fully respond to a question on land scams in the State, saying the government had already ordered a judicial probe into it.
Jaitley demanded an apology from Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi for his alleged utterances against Hindu organisations.
He said the BJP would resort to a nationwide protest, barring Karnataka, on December 22 demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the 2G spectrum scam. He clarified that Karnataka had been spared as it was preparing for the zilla and taluk panchayat elections.
