I-cards of many had no photos

As many as 450 people at Sadalli in Devanahalli Taluk tried to vote by producing the domicile certificates. However, the voters did not succeed in their mission, after agents of some parties at the booths noticed this anomaly. Similarly, in Yadavanahalli, a few people tried to vote by producing electricity bills as proof of identity. But they were prevented from doing so by party agents.

Cash for voters
While some candidates served food to the voters, others preferred to offer money  at Yadavanahalli in Anekal taluk.A majority of the candidates had arranged vehicles to ferry voters to the polling booths.
An old man was seen asking his wife not to vote, until she was given Rs 500. “Don’t vote till you get the money,” he told his wife. She went in search of the party workers to demand the bribe.

Free ride
The rule barring seeking votes in a radius of 100 metres from the polling booths was violated in most places during polling in the Bangalore Urban district.

Party workers sporting caps and T-shirts with symbols, campaigned freely near the booths.
