BSNL employee falls to death

Muniraju, a native of Arshinakunte in Nelamangala taluk, is the deceased. The victim was called to fix a snapped telephone line in Krishna ‘B’ Block at 10.15 am. Police suspect that the ladder may have become slippery, because of the dew on it.

Muniraju was with the BSNL as an operator for the last few years and had an office in the NGV premises. He is survived by wife Manjula and two children. Adugodi police have booked a case of unnatural death. The body was handed over to the relatives after a post-mortem at the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS).

Nimhans staffer killed
A 29-year-old Nimhans employee was killed when an unidentified vehicle mowed him down on Banaswadi Ring Road early Wednesday morning.

Srinivas of Muthyalanagar was on his way to buy flowers for a puja at his friend’s house in Kammanahalli when he lost control over his motorcycle and fell off it, before a vehicle coming from behind ran him over at the KEB Junction.

He was working as an attender in Nimhans. The body was handed over to the relatives after an autopsy at the Bowring Hospital. Banaswadi traffic police have booked a case.

Class 9 student hangs self
A Class nine student reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the hook of the roof of her house, when her parents had gone out, in Vidyaranyapura.

Deepa (14) is the deceased. According to police, her father Venkatesh, an electrician, was away at work and her mother had gone to attend the death anniversary of a relative. The reason for the suicide is yet to be ascertained. Police have registered a case.
