CBI files chargesheet in Rs 2-crore bribery case

Bali and two others - Arun Dalmia and Harsh Dalmia - have been accused of accepting bribe for allegedly issuing a 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) for the development of a land reserved for postal department at Mira Road in neighbouring Thane district in Maharashtra.

"The trio have been charged for conspiracy and various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act. This was one of the biggest traps in the last year involving an additional secretary level officer," CBI Superintendent of Police Abhin Modak said.

Bali and the other accused were arrested on February 24 and were released on bail in March.

According to CBI, Bali was to get Rs 1.25 crore while Arun and Harsh were to get the remaining bribe amount.
