Man accidentally shoots dead his wife in Delhi

The incident took place in Anand Parbat at around 9:30 am and the victim has been identified as Sunita Mishra, who was rushed to Jeevan Mala hospital by her husband Pappu Mishra.

The 315 bore rifle belonged to Pappu's brother-in-law Gopal Pandey who had come to the capital to invite his relatives for his daughter's marriage, a senior police official said.
Pandey had reached Mishra's house today from Seemapuri where he had met other relatives and invited them for the function.

"He was carrying the rifle which has an all India licence. He kept the rifle in one of the rooms and had breakfast at the house. A little later as he was planning to leave, he went inside to collect the rifle and heard a gun shot.

"Mishra's son told Pandey that his father was demonstrating to his mother how to fire from a rifle when the shot was fired," the official said.

Mishra rushed his wife to the hospital where she was declared brought dead.The hospital authorities informed police which registered a case of murder against Mishra.Police said they were in the process of arresting Mishra.
