Nearly 174 students were conferred with the certificate and special awards and prizes were given to students with extraordinary achievements in both academic and non academic endeavours.

Confidence was written largely on the young faces, who were neatly attired in blazers as they eagerly waited for their turn to receive certificates that defined the most momentous occasion of their life.

The chief guest for the event was Dr B K Chandrashekar, Former Education Minister and Former Chairman of the Legislative Council.

He appealed to the students to utilise their creative instincts, education and talent to form a great society in future.

“The very purpose of education is to grow and experiment with new ideas and inventions. We need a sound mind with novel ideas to form a harmonious civilisation which can be attained only through education and technological advancements. Young minds must work towards the betterment of the society,” he said.

The students had a candle light session symbolising joy, truth and love of God; dispelling darkness and ignorance and welcoming pure light and knowledge.

The school also presented special awards to students in different categories like inter house-work, conduct, behaviour and others.

A special trophy was awarded for excellence in sports and extra-curricular activities. The best all round student award, 'Baldwin Blue', was given to Aman Jalan for his extraordinary achievements.

Other prizes included Best Hockey Player for Saif Warsi, Best Cricketer Award to Abhishek P Kumar, Best Basketball Player Award to Wanglen Soram, Best Athlete Award to Sukesh G Shetty and Best Swimmer Award to Varun Desai. A few other categories included NCC, Best School Captain, Best Band Cadet and Best Prefect.

The students were all smiles as they collected their certificates and trophies which stood testimony to their achievement.

Rohan, a student whose joy knew no bounds said, “It is so heartening to be graduating from this school. It has taught us about every aspect of life which is hard to find in other schools. The kind of values imparted here is something that will be a part of us even after we walk out of this school and that is what makes me a proud Baldwinian.”

Pradeep, another student said, “I am happy to be graduating and going one step ahead. However, I also feel really sad and will miss school life terribly. But this school has given me a lot of
memories which I will cherish for life.”
