They have a hope of getting job if the community was placed under a separate category. The government should earmark Rs 20 crore in 2011-12 Budget of which Rs 10 crore should be released to build the community hall and Rs 10 crore for the education of Samaj children.<br /><br />Registration<br /><br />He appealed to the community people to register their names as ‘Savita Samaja’ in the caste as well as sub-caste column in the ongoing general census. Plans are afoot to launch a membership drive to bring all the people under an umbrella. All the members would be given identity cards soon.<br /><br />Nagaraj said the samaj has already submitted a memorandum to the chief minister listing out demands like earmarking funds for the uplift of the community, hike in the honororium being given to artists from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000, social security, free health and family.<br /><br />So far, the government had not considered any of the demands. The samaj members would launch an agitation if the government fails to fulfil their demands, he added.</p>
