Activists foil smuggling of cattle

 Activists intervened when the cattle from Hindupur taluk of neighbouring Andhara Pradesh were being transported to abattoir by Mohammed Afis of Santebidnur village.
They informed the police and later on handed over the cattle to the Madhugiri Surabhi goshale.

Later on the day Ravindranath, president of Kote Kodandaswamy Kannada Yuvaka Sangha addressing the media persons, warned of intensifying protest if the cattle from the neighbouring states are sold at the local slaughter house, is not stopped.

He requested the leaders of various religions to cooperate in protecting the cattle. He demanded the government to take stern action against cattle slaughter and take measures to protect them. Vijay Kumar, Ashwathnarayana, Girish, Raghavendra, Aravind and others were present.
