Bagepalli girls' hostel is a mess

“Hostel supervisor Chikkahanumaiah is apathetic towards resolving various problems plaguing the hostel,” complained hostel students.

Complaining to District Director of the Department of Social Welfare Alla Baksh, who visited the hostel on Friday, students said no efforts were taken to address lack of basic amenities in the hostel.

“Also, a few rogues have been throwing stones at hostel windows and doors during night. The supervisor who is supposed to provide us with security is unconcerned about the misbehaviour of boys. He has not taken any efforts to tackle the problem,” they added.

Most of the times the supervisor is not present at the hostel. Moreover, the bathroom’s window which was broken long ago has not yet been repaired, rued the students.

District Director of the department Alla Baksh after listening to woes of the girl students took both the supervisor Chikkahanumaiah and BCM Extension Officer Poojar to task.
