JOIN USStay cool with varied flavours
Started by M Vinod and N K Anita, a couple, it is located in Rajajinagar and provides coconut lovers a range of ‘cool items’ starting from tender coconut water to delicious coconut ice-creams. One of the hot favourites are the ‘coconut burfis’ and holiges, which are made fresh everyday and costs a humble five bucks.
These are a treat to one’s gastronomical senses. The water is removed from the coconuts, with the aid of a machine, which is designed by the owner M Vinod and comes with an equally innovative cooling system.
About the machine, he says, “I am a farmer and we own land where we grow coconuts. All the coconuts we use in our products are from our farm. I noticed that people have to stand on the footpath and drink coconut water. With my machine, I am able to give people fresh and hygienic coconut water along with other products which people may not have tasted or experienced before.”
One such innovative product is the coconut apple locally known as Goobu. The other favourite is coconut milk ice-cream, which is wonderful to savour. The ice creams include no added preservative or colour and are as fresh as they can get.
They are made by Anita and the freshness leaves people craving for more. ‘Coconut Souffle’, with its creamy texture which just melts in the mouth, is an exciting find.
