Maintaining law and order is my first priority, says SP

Addressing a news conference here on Friday, the SP said people in rural areas were facing several problems. His first priority was to visit all police stations to understand problems of the department as well of the general public.

This would be done for a week from March 27. The department was facing shortage of personnel because of which programmes would be chalked out by involving citizens.

Singh said it has come to his notice that a few police personnel were hand in glove with criminals.  Such black sheep would not be spared and dealt with an iron hand.

There was also information regarding illegal activities going on in different parts of the city and everything would be stopped soon. “I have several plans to improve law and order and prevention of crimes and they would be implemented in phased manner”, he added.
