Hearing the petition on Tuesday, Justice K N Keshavanarayana issued notice to advocate Sirajin Basha and ordered interim stay on all proceedings.

Seeking the setting aside of the lower court order, Kumar, in his petition termed the complaint “arbitrary and illegal”.

According to the petitioner, the lower court had erred in taking cognisance of the offences, for which the Governor has not accorded sanction.
