Ravi Menon, currently the Permanent Secretary (Trade and Industry), will take over the charges from Heng Swee Keat. Menon joined MAS in 1987 and rose to become an assistant managing director before holding other government posts.

Heng is tipped to enter politics under the ruling People's Action Party in the coming General Election, expected in May, the report said.
