Free water connections will be made available for the people of Koraga community. <br /><br />Government has earmarked Rs 3 crore for the welfare programmes catering to the SC/ST community and proposal demanding additional Rs 2 crore has been sent to the government for approval. <br /><br />CMC has earmarked Rs 2.10 crore for the welfare programmes of SC/ST, he informed. About 178 students belonging to SC/ST are receiving scholarship of Rs 31,99,001.<br /><br /> A sum of Rs 7 lakh will be allocated for the construction of the SC/ST hostels in the city, Rs 65,000 for the repair of 13 houses and Rs 50,000 for the repair of community hall.<br /><br />Bhat distributed cheque for Rs 25,000 to Jalaja Poojarthy of Ambagilu.</p>
