Caution board collapsing

I would like to bring to the notice of the authorities concerned the safety of children, near the vicinity of the school, which are near the main roads.

The children have a problem crossing the road as there is heavy flowing traffic. I appreciate the fact that that in some places there are caution boards for drivers about school zones. But the school board zone near D G Hospital is broken and ready to collapse any moment. The situation requires urgent attention.

Hike in bus fare

BMTC/ KSRTC is often increasing bus fare without providing due facilities to the travelling public. It is also to be noted that no pass holder will utilise his pass for more than 20 days in a month on an average.

Those from poor and middle class families are entirely dependent on the BMTC buses. The recent increase in bus fare is not the right thing to do as it affects many lives.
Further, senior citizens are yet to be considered for the 50 per cent concession. The authorities should see that leakage of revenue is stopped. Misuse of daily passes also have to be brought to an end at the earliest. The BMTC is requested not to increase their fares, out of humanitarian consideration, for another one year at least.
