'Utilise resources to develop school'

 
DDPI Bellishetty inaugurating the interaction programme organised in Mittemari, Bagepalli taluk. DH PHOTOSpeaking at a hobli-level convention organised by the Public Education Department, for the SDMC president and secretaries, at Mittemari in the taluk, he said, “Schools are more important than temples. So we should use the resources at hand and help develop them.”

The Deputy Director regretted the fact that land allotted for schools were being encroached, and even sold, in our villages. “The managements should pay attention to this. They should safeguard the land and ensure that the generations to come will get quality education,” he advised.

Block Education Officer Chandrashekhar Babu, BRC co-ordinator Venkateshappa were also present.

Resource persons delivered presentations on the ‘Nali Kali’ scheme, and various other government programmes and grants.
