'Spirituality fundamental USP of nation'

He was speaking at the Golden Jubilee Endowment Lecture on ‘Technologies and well-being’ organised by JSS Mahavidyapeetha, here on Wednesday.

Continuing he mentioned that the spiritual process is structured to aid cultural growth amongst people.

Human liberation

While observing that it is only in our nation that a person seeks human liberation (‘Mukti’), he said that it can’t be found anywhere else in the world.

Pointing out that economic progress could be achieved only if spiritual ethos and economic well-being go hand in hand, he said that it would lead to loss of culture. However, we will have to preserve whatever is valuable, he added.

He, however warned the audience that they shouldn’t underestimate the power of idiots, who can derail India’s plans of becoming an economic powerhouse.

Vasudev mentioned that spirituality is a major factor during a country’s growth from poverty to affluence. However, he bemoaned, “The first generation of well-being are going to go down.” He stressed that human well-being is very very important for a person.
