He will be launching six lead actors in his upcoming films, titled ‘Love Express’ and ‘Cycle Kick’, produced by Mukta Searchlight Films. Directed by new directors, the film is all set to release on May 27. Ghai is also the producer of Kashmakash, the Hindi version of Rituparna Ghosh’s Bengali film Nauka Dubi. The music release of this film happened recently and Ghai was present at the event along with Gulzar, who has written the lyrics of the songs.

All these films are of different genres and deal with simple yet inspiring tales. ‘Love Express’ is a film directed by Sunny Bhambhani, a Whistling Woods graduate and stars four lead actors from Whistling Woods International. It is a love story set on a train having Punjabi family wedding as its backdrop. ‘Cycle Kick’ has been directed by Shashi Sudigala, the associate director of Iqbal, and stars two lead actors from the FTII (Film and Television Institute of India). This film is about two friends trying to achieve their respective goals and dreams in life.

Kashmakash is completely different from the other two films. Based on Rabindranath Tagore’s novel Nauka Dubi, the film stars Raima Sen, Jishu Sengupta, Riya Sen, Prosenjit Chatterjee. Ghai has always been known to introduce new talent like Jackie Shroff, Madhuri Dixit, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Manisha Koirala, Mahima Choudhary, Isha Sharvani and has also groomed Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Anupam Kher among others.
