Give priority for health, women advised

He was speaking at the special lecture and prize distribution programme at the government first grade college for women in Hassan on Saturday. Dr Sunitha, HoD of Sociology and PG Study Centre, Government Arts College lamented that women are facing disparities in the family, field of education, financial and political fields.

She gives more attention to the health of the family members and compromises her own health for the sake of family.

Principal Prof V Krishnappa who presided, said women faces problem at all stages of her life- right from her birth to end.

Dr Shashikumar, HoD of Sociology delivered key-note address. Prizes were distributed to the students who scored high marks in the subject.

Counselling

The additional teachers at the government high schools are identified for the year 2011-12 and a list of names of those additional teachers for temporary counselling has been published at all the Block Education Offices and Deputy Director’s office.

Those who have any opposition over the list may submit an application duly attested by the Head Master to the respective BEOs before April 21. The counselling will be held on April 29 and all the teachers who find their names in the list are requested to attend.
