Puneeth's charm creates euphoria at Maharaja's College

The actor recalled his shooting schedule on the college premises for his movies- Vamshi and Hudugaru and said it was always a happy time to visit the college and Mysore. He announced a ` one lakh donation to the college in memory of his father and doyen of Kannada cinema, Dr Rajkumar. “Mysore is not a new city for me.  My family belongs to neighbouring Chamarajnagar and the city of Mysore will always remain in heart for its charm,” the actor told the students. The Maharaja’s college has contributed immensely to the educational, art and cultural sector of the state. He  was happy to learn that there are many rural talents who have made their mark in the field of literature, art and folk culture of the state,” and added that he would wish that he shoots his next movie amidst the students if the college management allowed for it.

On the request of students, Puneeth also sang a song for them from the hit number Shiva Antha Hoguthidde Roadinalli... from  his run away flick- Jackie and another from ‘Mylari’. Students responded in a rather euphoric way and tapped their foot for the hit tunes.
The police had a tough time controlling the students who scrambled for shaking hands with the actor.

Police prevented a student who had tonsured his head and coloured it with the writing Appu. However, Puneeth asked police to allow him to come to stage. The youth turned ecstatic shaking hands with the actor.  Former vice-chancellor of University of Mysore Prof S N Hegde, Principal Sa Na Gayathri, Administrator of the college Latha K Biddappa and others were present.
