Two young women drown in pond

Lakshmamma (21) and Sujatha (14) drowned when they were washing clothes in the  pond.

Sujatha waded into the water to retrieve a bucket that slipped out of her and was flowing with the current.

She soon began drowning. Lakshmamma went to the rescue of Sujatha and drowned, according to police.

Tahsildar M P Maruthi and police officers visited the spot. A case has been registered at the Srirampura police station.
