The workers burnt the effigy of the Governor and shouted slogans against the Governor and the Congress.

Speaking on the occasion, Zilla Panchayat President Ravi Kushalappa alleged Governor of being a mere puppet in the hands of the Congress.

“Governor acts as an agent of the Congress. The Governor is trying to destabilise the BJP government,” he said.

The dream of the Governor to dismiss the State government and impose the President’s rule will not be materialised. If President’s rule is imposed, then people of the State will give tough answer to the Congress in the election.

The BJP State Committee member M P Sunil Subramani also spoke.

Zilla Panchayat vice-president H M Kaveri, Zilla Panchayat member Ballaranda Mani Uthappa, S N Rajarao, CMC members and others took part in the protest.
