The Andholan will be staged against the anti-democratic move of the Governor and to demand the centre to call the Governor back from duty from the State.

The BJP State Unit will stage protests against the Governor from May 21 to 25 across the state and as a part of this protest, the district unit will stage a stir at Central Maidan on May 22, at 2 pm.

BJP District President Padmanabha Kottari said that the CM himself will address the rally and over 20,000 volunteers are expected to take part in the programme.

“The Governor who has been fuelling constitutional crisis in the State should just return. The recommendation for imposing President’s rule in the State must be rejected,” he said adding that sending Governor out of the state is sole and the main aim of the Janandholana.

He said that there is a chaotic situation in the State created by the Governor. “Recommending dissolution of a popular government, which has come to power with majority is an incorrect move. If we look back, this Governor has been responsible for several confusions and pandemonium in the state. He must go back,” said Kottari.

Condemning the Congress and the JD(S) for staging protests demanding dissolution of the State government, Kottari said that the opposition should not make such unreasonable demands because the people of the state have given BJP government the nod to rule for five years. “The two parties should value the verdict of the people and let the government complete its tenure,” he said.

Condolence

During the rally on May 22, Kottari said that they will even offer condolence to the departed souls of Mangalore air crash.

Assembly Deputy Speaker Yogish Bhat, KFDC President Nitin Kumar among others were present.
