Nadira, the protagonist of the film is married to Rashid at a young age though she knows very little about marriage. However, accepting her married life, she moves on and is happily settled and even bears Rashid’s child. Hell will break lose for Nadira when a tiff between her father and Rashid forces her to separate from her husband and child.

The movie that deals with the divorce law according to Islam portrays the suffering of Nadira who is struck between her desire and the socio-political set up. Her suffocation in the male dominated society and struggle to freedom is intricately woven to be the movie’s plot.

The movie also grasps the viewers attention as it has the ‘what next’ element. When Director Suveeran has tried his best to recreate a perfect picture of a rural Byari family, the actors have kept up the Director’s intention by adding simplicity in their role hence making it look natural. The background music and songs strike a perfect harmony to the film’s flow.

The movie was released in Mangalore at Prabath Theatre by Coastal Development Authority Chairman Nagaraj Shetty who stressed that the movie is not limited for one community but for all. Presiding over the programme, Karnataka Sahitya Byari Academy President M B Abdul Rahiman said that movies play an important role in reviving a language. Speaking on local languages which are on a verge of extinction, he requested people to retain their mother tongues keeping the culture alive.

Speaking to City Herald, Film Producer and actor T H Althaf Hussain said that the movie was mainly done for movie festivals. The film was completed last year. “I am very happy with this movie and I hope that with people’s support, it runs in theatres till Ramzan”.
Commenting on the controversy created by Sarah Aboobaker who claims that the movie story is hers, he said that she has a misunderstanding. “Let she come and see the movie first and then let she agree that the story is hers,” he adds.
