Speaking to reporters here, he said Kumaraswamy ordered permission to lift 1.17 lakh tonnes of iron ore to JMC based on a fake permission letter from Ministry of Environment and Forests (MOEF) produced by the company.

“Kumaraswamy had renewed the lease for 40 years with retrospective effect from 1985. The company was established in 1964 and the renewal was pending as the firm had failed to furnish certain documents,” he said.

Alleging that the Gowda family owns properties worth crores of rupees, Puttaswamy said 240 acres of land in and around Bangalore and Mysore belong to them. He said 1.3 lakh sq feet of residential sites and 6.17 lakh sq feet of commercial complexes stand in the names of members of Gowda family.
