Asphalt our roads, please!

There is a linking road from Peacock Circle on Outer Ring Road (ORR) to Mysore Road which joins Mysore Road near Maruthi Petrol Pump.

The road passes through Pantharapalya and is always full of traffic as it is a short cut to Mysore Road from ORR.  But the road is in very bad shape – full of pot holes, causing great inconvenience to commuters.

I request the BBMP to take immediate steps to asphalt the road or at least fill the pot holes to ease out the traffic flow.  Likewise, there is another road which links Rajarajeshwari Nagar (Ward no 160) and ORR near PESIT (at BSK III Stage). This  road is also full of pot holes and is  in a very bad shape, especially from Hayagreeva Dharmika Mandira to Rajarajeshwari Nagar.  The road is very useful to those who commute between Rajarajeshwari Nagar and BSK III Stage as they could avoid two signal lights on Mysore Road.  I appeal to BBMP to re-asphalt the road.

 No buses

The concept of Big 10 buses is a wonderful idea and BMTC ought to be proud of it, just like it should be for the many other 'firsts' to its credit.

However, on one route of Big 10 - G3 (MG Road to Sarjapura), the buses always move in sets of two or sometimes, even three buses literally chasing each other bumper to bumper.

One bus would be properly occupied and the others practically empty, and also leaves a huge time gap between buses for the next 30-odd minutes. The BMTC should regulate movement of buses on this route to prevent bunching of buses.

The addition of Marcopolo AC buses on this route would work wonders as many office goers would prefer them to private transport.

Pot-holed roads in Canara Bank Layout

Since eight years, the 1st and 2nd main road and its linked cross roads connecting to the two main roads of the Canara Bank Layout, under Virupakshapura have not been asphalted.

We understand that our  Corporator K Nandini and BBMP official have also seen the present conditions of the roads that are in pitiable condition. The pebbles make walking difficult. Two-wheelers and cars get stuck in muddy ditches. In addition, on either side of the roads trenches have been dug up years ago have collected garbage and have become breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

Residents of the area suffer from respiratory illnesses, inhaling dust off the road. We request the authorities to do the needful before the monsoon.

 Unmotorable road near BU

It has been more than a month our BBMP Commissioner made a night visit and informed on completing the road repair of Nagarbhavi-Bangalore University Campus.  Nearing two months deadline, the road condition near NLSUI Law School/NAAC and Bangalore University Campus is highly pathetic and we feel cheated without proper motorable roads.

It is found that most of the time, only roads which are good for usage are re-tarred, so that bill gets passed easily.  Secondly, debris of construction materials have been dumped on the West of Chord Road opp National Public School, and near traffic signal junction for the past four months. Surprisingly, this  road is being used by many VVIP's and BBMP officials, without any action till now.

I request officials concerned to act on this with highest priority.

 Water problem in Jnanabharathi Layout

I constructed a house four years ago in Jnanabharathi Layout which is attached to Ring Road Mariyappanapalya and come under the BBMP. During construction, water pipelines were laid, but so far no water has ever been supplied. Due to this all residents have sunk borewells and are totally dependent on borewell water.

Unfortunately, most of the borewells have dried up and we cannot get water even if we dig up to 1,000 feet. Now 60 per cent of all site owners have constructed houses, and the only problem dogging this Layout is lack of water. It is very near to the City like Nagarabhavi and Vijayanagar and attached to Ring Road. This BDA Layout was formed ten years ago. I request the authorities concerned to visit our Layout and do needful by providing water supply.
