JOIN US The twinning programme offers Bachelor Degree in engineering which enables the students from the Indian university to do their first two years at NITTE and last two years at the American University. The MoU was signed with the Penn State Harrisburg, an under graduate college and Graduate school which is a part of the Pennsylvania State University.
Addressing the press, Nitte University Chancellor N V Hegde said that the collaboration is in accordance with the UGC and AICTE norms. “The 2+2 programme (2 year in India, 2 year in US) will help the students to have an exposure to the outside world,” he said. The programme is available with the majors Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology and Structural Design and Construction Engineering Technology. The students successfully completing the programme will earn Bachelor degree from the Pennsylvania State University.
THE MoU also assures that the US University will extend their help in improving the teaching standards of the Indian University and in the research area. Vice Chancellor Shantharam Shetty, Dr S Y Kulkarni, Dr M S Moodithaya and Vishal Hegde were also present during the press conference.
